It comprises theoretical and hands-on components with a focus on fault tolerance. The tutorial details are as follows: Fog Computing: Industrial Use Cases and Open Issues…

Forskarfredag

Forskarfredag is a Swedish equivalent of European Researchers’ Night. ESRs from MDH prepared a presentation covering thier research topics and presented their research to the audience. In the talk they discussed about the spread of IoT devices, cloud computing and novel edge and fog computing approaches. They also motivated their talk with some interesting cutting edge applications that can benefit from the paradigm. More info is avialable via www.forskarfredag.se

FORA Special Session on Fog-IoT

European Researcher’s Night in Vienna

Eurpean Researcher’s Night is a yearly Europe-wide event providing an excellent opportunity for researchers to promote their profession to a wide audience. Euroean Researcher’s Night is similar to event, e.g., beSCIENCEd, Austria; ForskarFredag, Sweden; Kaiserslautern Science Night; Science Day, a Danish national science festival. In 2019, European Researcher’s Night took was held on September 2019 at the University of Applied Arts in Wien, Austria. FORA ESR, Jan Ruh, has presented…

FORA Summer School 2019: Edge and Fog Computing

About The Nordic IoT Summer School is a week-long intensive introduction to all aspects of IoT systems. Rich sensor systems and distributed computation allow computing systems to measure and interact with the physical world. These emerging IoT systems will necessarily stretch from edge and fog computing devices that connect to cloud servers. Challenges at all levels of abstraction—devices, software, networks, architectures, and applications—must be faced to deliver on the potential…
